They feature a high temperature oxidation metal sheath and high grade mica insulation resistant to moisture and high temperatures. Nickel/Chromium resistance wire evenly would provides for uniform and reliable heat distribution. Backer Marathon Mica Strip Heaters are ULrecognized to standard UL499.
